AussieBum Classic 1.5 Swim Brief

AussieBum Classic 1.5 Swim BriefI’ve been wanting to get my hands on a pair of AussieBum Classic 1.5 swim brief for some time now. I bite the bullet during their one sale at the end of the year and now it is time to review it. I did order up a size from what I normally do based on recommendations and it was a good thing I did otherwise it probably wouldn’t have fit. The swim brief is made out of 100% nylon, so it doesn’t have a lot of stretch to it. Ordering it in the size large was right for me, since it is a nice snug fit like they should be. The other thing to watch with the nylon is that lighter colors are going to have a sheer factor with the nylon being a light fabric. The swim bikini is pretty much full frontal and back cover, but with 1 1/2″ sides. It has a flat front wide V pouch, which is two layers of nylon and the back is just one layer. The brief features a flat drawstring for added security. It has an AussieBum tag logo on the left hip seam. You can get the logo on the back if you like, but I chose not to. AussieBum is made in Australia hence the name. They are to be cold rinse after use and can be gentle machine/hand wash in cold water and hung to dry.

I love the feel of these on. The nylon kind of gives them a silky satin feel. They are lightweight and breathable, so will help keep you cooler on a hot summer day. These sit a little lower than a typical swim brief, but not too low like I think some of the jammers that pro swimmers wear. I think these will be a great all day beach bikini swim brief. Only concern I have is how well nylon holds up as a swimsuit. Seems to be pretty durable in the underwear I have, so hoping the same will be the case with these AussieBum Classic 1.5 swim brief. Also I think the price for a pair is pretty reasonable.

I have many of these in various colours. They are very durable as pairs I have had for a few years are still going strong. The lighter colours can get pretty sheer when wet. Even the Red gets a bit sheer in the rear when wet. The Light Blue and White get sheer in the front when wet. I find this very sexy, but have only worn the Light Blue pair once on a public beach in France. The Red is safe to wear to the pool.

I have the Black one, but I save it for the more conservative scenes, or as a back up swimsuit, if the one I want to wear is unacceptable.
