Review: Dietz Firenze Bikini Brief
This is my fifth pair of underwear from the brand Dietz. They have become one of my go to brands, since discovering them about two years ago. What drew me to this pair is the look of the fabric. It looked like it would be a comfortable bikini. Let me tell you that Dietz has done it again with another solid bikini brief. The Firenze brief I purchased is from their first introduction of the style. They also offer the Firenze Sec Brief, which is a different fabric.
The Firenze brief is made out of a blend 92% viscose and 8% spandex. Viscose is also known as cellulose, but people know it better as rayon. The fabric is nice and lightweight. It allows for breathing and would be a great choice for when it is hot out. There is a bit of sheerness to it, but hard to tell with the dark navy color I purchased. Again I am a fan of their small color accents they add to their underwear. I like the addition of the mango piping at the waist of the pair I bought, which gives it a nice pop along with their logo on the left pouch panel.
The contoured pouch does have a center seam, but it is done with what I call a flat seam. It is pretty supportive though the fabric does have some give to it. Probably not one I’d choose for a lot of active exercise that involves running. Would be fine for activities like hiking. The back of the bikini brief, I’m going to call a generous three quarter back. The sides measure about one inch, which is a perfect width in my opinion. These are to be hand wash and hung to dry. They are made in Mexico.
I find these to be very comfortable underwear and would not hesitate to add more pairs to the drawer. They’ll be getting a lot of wear especially during the summer months with their lightweightness. If you haven’t tried the Dietz brand yet, then you should give a pair of theirs a try.
