Kiniki’s Niki Thong Review

Niki Thong from KinikiI’ve owned several of the niki thongs over the years and they hold up well. It is the elastic that seems to go on them over fabric issues. The niki thong seems to be a staple in their line. It’s been there from the get go of my discover of the Kiniki brand over 15 years ago.

Kiniki’s Niki Thong is a traditional cut thong. It is made out of nylon fabric. The sides are about 1 1/2″ and the pouch is a contoured center seam v-pouch. The tail is about an 1″ wide. These are a fairly comfortable thong once you are adjusted to them. The fabric seems to soften after several washes, which makes them more comfortable. You do notice you are wearing a thong when you have a pair on. They’re not real stretchy with them being nylon and the pouch isn’t roomy. They however offer great support. I’ve worn them for things like sports, cross country skiing, and biking. I don’t have to worry about dancing around in them. You may want to avoid this thong if you are well endowed unless you don’t mind being extra squished. I machine wash them and hang them to dry and they hold up well. I wouldn’t recommend these if you are just starting out wearing thongs, but if you are a thong wearer I’d say give them a try especially if you want some support when you are doing something active like sports.

My Rating Overview

Support Rating: 5.0
Tail Comfort: 3.0*
Overall Comfort: 4.0**
Recommendation: One thong up

*I gave a 3.0 for tail comfort since you know your are wearing a thong and I wouldn’t recommend it for beginners.
**I was fighting between a 3.5 and 4.0 and decided to go with 4.0 for comfort, since I think it is still a comfortable thong for those who are use to wearing thongs and it is very supportive.

Not sure how I missed this review when I was working my way through the early posts of the blog, but the Niki thong was one of my earliest purchases from Kiniki, which I still have in my retired collection. I think I have about five of them in red, black, white, blue and flesh, and the red and black are see through which I think makes them an earlier version than the other colours. I remember the red and black being particularly tight and quite daring with their see through nature.
Finally, I have to say that the addition of the four pics of you, Nate, wearing the thong really enhanced the review, and it’s a shame you abandoned this aspect.

Must have been before I got my pairs. None of the colors I have are see through. They are snug fitting for sure with not much really any give to the fabric. Surprisingly they are still offering it with them discontinuing many of their original styles to follow the mainstream styles of waist banded underwear. I think the photos were added later after the review was posted for some time. Was just a lucky pair that happened to have photos taken of them.
