The Bottom Drawer Magazine Preview

The Bottom Drawer - Sample Magazine

I was playing with a magazine idea for my blog last year quite a bit. My goal was to have something by year end and it wasn’t quite where I wanted it. I thought early this year would be fine. Well, I’ve kind of dropped the ball on it and haven’t done much with it this year. I have about 40 pages put together so far with some tweaks needing done still.

My idea behind it was to have a growing magazine. I’d add articles to it each year. Some that were posted to the blog during the current year and then some new ones I hadn’t posted yet. Then I’d add in some new images to old posts and potentially rewrite or add to the old posts too.

Then I got to thinking that a lot of people are viewing content on their phones. How well will a full magazine page be readable on it without zooming in and panning around a lot? Probably not the easiest. So it seems I need a platform that will change the magazine based on the device just like websites are supposed to do. Since what I was building the magazine in doesn’t change with the screen viewing size I put a pause on the magazine. It got me a bit discouraged with working on it for that reason.

I’ve also been contemplating maybe a one time fee for it just to help with the expense of blogging. Thought about doing an introductory price and then I’d up it after a week or two, so that my regulars would get a discount on it. Kind of making it a little bit of exclusive content, but not something that one would have to pay monthly or yearly for.

My initial survey about a general underwear and swimwear magazine had a good amount of interest. Now I don’t know if one just based on my blog is of interest. I know free was more the going rate for content though. You can at least check out a portion of what I’ve put together. Download a pdf of a few articles in it including a summer bonus from 2021 that I did not post to the blog. Get it here.

I’d be happy to contribute some cash to help with your blog / magazine.

Looks great! Don’t stress on the format – it’s the content that counts.
I like the summer bonus – including people’s personal stories (and photos) would be a very compelling addition!

Thanks! I like to try to make things work well across the different size screens. So it bummed me out when I realized I wasn’t doing that! Not sure why it took me so long to realize it.

The summer bonus is one of my magazine only articles. I definitely would be open to writing contributions.

KUDOS to actually doing it Nate

You have been breaking alot of grounds since this blog started and this is another milestone.

Congratulations. It looks stellar and the content is top class.

    Great spread.

Congratulations Nate on bringing to fruition your dream of an online mag dedicated to the subject that prompted all of us to investigate your blog in the first place. I scrolled through this with a friend who is really getting into wearing G-strings and thongs and who I have gifted several strings and swim bikinis too recently. He wanted to know more about the thong irritation article. Have to say also that if the sizzling selfies you’ve included are a taster of what’s to come, then the services of your pro underwear/swimwear model will no longer be required(Lol). Happy to contribute financially to help with your costs. Well done!

Thanks! Well you inspired the thong irritation post. What was he wondering about it? I’ve been trying to add in new photo content into the magazine when I can!

I don’t think he’d come across an article on that particular subject which, let’s be honest, is rarely talked about.

It was my most popular post for a long time. It has fallen to number two about six months or so ago.

I keep meaning to ask what your inspiration was for the black and white pic of you reclining somewhat seductively on the wall at the top of the magazine? I can see why it is a particular favourite of yours, and for me, it brings to mind the so called Beefcake era of muscular guys wearing tiny posing pouches which probably sparked my love of g-strings.

Many years ago I came across a photo of a guy in a similar pose on a rock. The rock was more of a slant than a flat surface, but I liked the pose. So that is where the idea came from for it.

That would be a great magazine to have two times a year. I know how much time it takes to get all the stories, and putting all the information together. Its a task in it own self. May be after you retire. Happy thong, panties, and bottom bikini hunting.
