Review: 2EROS V10 Swim Brief in Paradise

2EROS V10 swim brief in Paradise

I’ve been considering splurging on a pair of 2eros swim briefs for a while. I have been really tempted by their V20 version, which has slightly narrower sides than the V10 version. I decided when Haut Underwear asked if I’d like to review some items to go with the V10 model. I felt it was one I would wear for sure to the beach.

Let’s take a look at some of the specifications of the swim brief. First the fabric is a blend of 80% Nylon and 20% Spandex. The fabric is trademarked and called Repreve®. It is a four way stretch fabric that is recycled material and sustainable. It is Traceable, Trusted, Certified, which protects our land and oceans and lightens our impact on the planet. The swim bikini has a centered seamed contour pouch that is lined. The sides measure about 2 1/2″. The back of the swimsuit is full coverage. At the top back of the brief there is a leather looking tag sewn on that says “Australian Lifestyle’ between 2EROS logos. On the left hip of the swim brief there is a 2EROS logo, which I’ll called embroidered on. The drawstrings have metal tips and come out of two metal eyelets on the front of the waist. So it is designed to have the ties showing on the outside of the swimsuit. Says to wash the swim brief cold and hang it to dry. These are made in China and designed in Australia.

Let me start off with I prefer my drawstring to be concealed on the inside of the swim brief. With that said, I was able to accomplish that with this swim brief. I ended up threading the ends of each drawstring into the opposite eyelet. This allowed the drawstrings to be tied inside and hidden. I got to try this pair out on my recent beach vacation. I wore the pair at the beach, pool, and lazy river two of the days.

Probably my favorite thing about the swim brief is the fabric. It has a great feel to it though not sure how to describe that feel. The fabric has a nice stretch factor and forms well to the body to give a good overall fit. It’s not too loose and not too tight. I’d say it breathes pretty well and is a nice weight swimsuit fabric.

I gave this pair a pretty good testing out. It saw time out in the ocean waves. They got pool time, sun soaking time, and beach walking time. The were comfortable for all those activities. More importantly I felt comfortable wearing them. I have no complaints on how they performed as swimwear.

Not really any major changes I would make to this swim brief. I mentioned the draw string preference of inside tie over on the outside, but my solution worked just fine. Then the other thing I wouldn’t mind is the back to be a little less full. Overall I do think this is a pretty nice swim brief. I am a bit surprised they are made in China for the price of them. I guess I still would have been happy if I did splurge on the pair even with it made in China. I would consider another pair if a print spoke to me, but I would hit a sale for it. I’d probably give the V20 a try first, so I could compare them.

My Rating Overview

Support Rating: 5.0
Overall Comfort: 5.0
Recommendation: Two thongs up

Pros: Fabric is a nice blend that holds well without being restrictive
Cons: Not a fan of drawstrings on the outside, a little pricey

  1. It seems fashion may be going around in a circle. I found this article today as I was reading the news.

I just caught that article a little bit ago. Would be nice if it was coming around again. I didn’t spot any other swim brief wearers on my recent beach trip. I have noticed shorter trunks this year and last, so that is at least in the positive direction.

Thanks for providing the link to that article. Gives us hope that the tide is turning in our favour. Needless to say I will be doing my usual speedo/thong survey on my forthcoming trip to Sicily. If speedos are scarcer this year, then I’ll know we’re losing the battle.

I prefer the v20 cut, although more limited in choice of prints the sides are narrower and feel much better to swim and Lounge in
