AliExpress First Time Underwear Ordering
I decided to experiment with some of the underwear that is coming out of Asia. My first attempt was the Jinshi Classic Bikini Brief I purchased off of Amazon, which you can read my review here. My second and third attempt both came from suppliers on AliExpress, which was the first time I did any purchasing there. The negative of ordering from China is the wait for the items to arrive. The positive is you can get underwear fairly cheap. Overall the quality of the underwear I received was pretty well made.
The first supplier, Shenzhen Sunshine Wholesale Co.,Ltd, I bought three pairs of underwear from. One bikini and two thongs in the same style but different colors. The bikini is a UK flag pattern and the thongs are solid gray and blue. Now I had high hopes for the thongs. I really liked the cut of it, but it was one size fits all. Based on the model wearing it, they looked like they’d be a good fit. Well, unfortunately that wasn’t the case. There is not enough length in it from the pouch to the tail or these are made to sit very low on you. Same issue with the bikini, which I bought in a large based on their sizing. It sits too low and lets the top of the cheeks hang out. Though with it I could probably wear it more as a thong. Still a bit of a small pouch on all of them even for me. So I would not recommend using this supplier.
The other supplier I went with is Brave Person Official Store. I’ve seen the brand Brave Person listed on some retailers and they had some nice looking items. From them I ordered 3 bikinis and 3 thongs. They did miss sending one of the bikinis, but they were very responsive with communicating with me. They offered store credit or a refund. Now their underwear is a lot better fitting. I used their size charts to match me up with the correct sizes to buy. Overall I’m pleased my the items I received from them. There is only one I don’t really like how the pouch is made. Other than that everything else was fine with it. The fabric quality and construction of the bikinis and thongs appear to be excellent. I would use this seller again. I’ll go more in-depth with the individual pair from them in a later post(s).
I guess like purchasing from any new supplier or brand you aren’t going to know how you like them until you receive them. In general Asian underwear and swimwear tends to run smaller than US sizing and other mainstream brands. It’s best to follow those sizing charts they supply for sure. The plus side you aren’t out too much money going this route if the underwear isn’t to your liking. I would consider going through Aliexpress again, but won’t be my main source for underwear buying. Have you tried Aliexpress or Asian brands? What has your experience been?
Ways to Support The Bottom Drawer by Shopping
I started buying underwear(mostly g-strings) from the Far East about 5 years ago,mainly on e bay. What first attracted me to that market was the vast range of sexy styles and the inexpensive prices often with next to no postage charges. As you mentioned in your review,delivery times tend to be slow and the sizing tends to be on the small side,but I have to say,more often than not,I was really happy with my purchases. I did notice occasionally that the description of an item didn’t always match the photo posted to demonstrate the underwear eg the heading would say thong or g-string,but the photo would be of a jock strap or bikini brief. Another point of note I discovered was that you could buy the same underwear from the same Asian sellers on Amazon,but the price was up to 3 or 4 times dearer than buying direct.
I’ve noticed what I’ll call description or product name stuffing to try to draw more buyers to look at their product. They put a lot of related underwear terms with one of them being what the style is. I wonder if they’ve found that Amazon customer’s aren’t price conscious or they’re willing to pay more. The ones I bought on Amazon dropped to half price and it was fulfilled by Amazon is the only reason I ordered. I have others I’m watching fulfilled by Amazon, but I hesitate to buy when you have to buy multiple and you don’t know if they’ll be liked. Probably should look for them on Aliexpress and take the long delivery times.
I read your post when I’m wearing a black bikini received a week ago from China. Through eBay I bought two bikinis, black and red. They did not take long to make the route between China and Spain, but the sizes received were larger than those ordered. Predicting that their size is smaller than the Western I requested XL and sent 2XL. After my protest I was refunded € 1 of the price paid. The garments are not bad, they are 100% polyamide; the main defect is that they do not have front inner lining.
Previously I bought underwear directly at AliExpress. I think I only keep one piece. Clothing is inexpensive and is sent free of charge, but the cut is not very suitable and sometimes the material of the fabric is inadequate. I have donated to charitable organizations the items I discarded.
Despite not having very good experiences of buying Chinese lingerie, I will continue to try to get good models at cheap price. Difficult, but I hope not impossible.
Thanks for sharing your experience with ordering from China. I haven’t given the pairs I ordered a good wearing yet, but my initial impression of the ones from the Brave person supplier are they will be decent underwear.
