Review: Awry Cheeky Thong
Even though I prefer narrow sides on my underwear, I had to request this pair from AWRY. With being a cheeky and a thong fan I had to try it out. As always I do my best to say how it is about a pair even when I don’t buy the pair.
Let’s get the spec details out of the way first. The cheeky thong has sides that measure about 3”. The thong section of the back measures about 1 5/8″. The fabric is a blend of 95% modal and 5% elastane. The pair has a center seamed contour pouch. There is a small black brand label at center front of the pair. You can machine wash the pair, but hanging them to dry is recommended. The cheeky thong is made in China.
I would say what really makes this pair for me is the fabric. It’s super soft and still holds pretty well. They feel great on in both the front and the back. Aesthetically, it has too much frontal coverage and on the sides for my personal taste. You can adjust the sides to make them narrower if one wants to. I leave them be, since the fabric is light and not restrictive. The pouch gives enough support for everyday wear, but I wouldn’t wear it for real active things like sports. The back of the cheeky thong is center seamed. I think it helps with the flow of the back between the cheeks, so I kind of like that with the design.
This is a pair where I let the aesthetics go. It comes down to comfort and feel with this cheeky thong. I’m very happy with the overall fit of it. I like how the back fits and sits on me. I could wear these as daily underwear even though they aren’t exactly pleasing to my eyes.

I personally think using the term thong to describe this garment is stretching things and I find myself wondering what was going through the mind of the designer when he came up with this design and which sector of the underwear market was he aiming for?Can’t think of anything positive to say about it so I’ll stop here.
I love the Awry Cheeky Thong. I have several kinds of cheek-highlighting underwear and this style is one that highlights my cheeks the most. It’s still very much a thong in that the tail sits between my cheeks.
