Review: Doreanse Camouflage Thong (1312)

Doreanse Camouflage Thong 1312
I’ve been a fan of this cut, since purchasing the Kiniki Tonga thong many years ago. They no longer offer the Tonga version, which was made out of a nylon material. They offer a similar version called the Miles in a cotton lycra blend. Now, I’d say skip the Kiniki version and go with this Doreanse camouflage thong or their aire version. The rise on the Doreanse thongs are better. In my early days I wore g-strings more often than I do now. I like the string sides, but not always a fan of how the back looked on me in a g-string. I always liked how a traditional thong back looks and accentuates the butt, so that is why I like this cut of a thong back better. The Doreanse camouflage thong gives me the string sides with a traditional thong back look.

This is basically the Doreanse aire thong that I reviewed last year, but in a different fabric. This thong is made out of the fabric a lot of their other underwear styles are made of. It’s a blend of 45% modal, 45% cotton, and 10% lycra. As with other pairs with this material I tried it’s a comfortable fabric blend that I enjoy wearing. It makes the thong a little more supportive than the aire thong. These have a center seamed contour pouch. The center seam is what I call a flat seam where a lot of other pairs have a seam like a ridge down the middle. The width of the sides are about 7/16″ and the tail is around 3/4″. You are suppose to be able to machine wash these, but recommended to hang them to dry.

Like the Doreanse aire thong I’m a fan of the camouflage thong. It’s a nice fitting comfortable thong. It’s one that is pretty much unnoticeable that you are wearing a thong. It would be an excellent thong for beginners. The fabric is a little heavier than the aire thong, but still lightweight and soft. Support is decent and would be good for everyday wear. However, if I was going to do something active during the day, I’d switch to a more supportive thong for the activity. I think the rise of the thong is spot on. The back sits just right to define the backside nicely. Sometimes these styles have too much back to front length, so that back doesn’t look as clean like the Miles thong I mentioned at the start.
If you want a decent comfortable thong at a reasonable price, then check out this thong along with it’s sister the aire thong. To me these two thongs are the best underwear I have tried from Doreanse. The aire made it on the top 5 pairs I wore in 2020 and this one is just like it.

My Rating Overview

Support Rating: 4.0
Overall Comfort: 5.0
Tail Comfort: 5.0
Recommendation: Two thongs up

Pros: Very Comfortable for all day wear, nice fabric
Cons: Only available in camo print when regular thong cut offers other prints

Agree with your review 100%. Super comfy, super soft material, perfect cut and fit, great price. Worn many times. Slight negative is that the brilliant colors seem to fade quicker through washing than most other brands i’ve bought. But, for the price, just buy a few pairs. Wish they had this in a string bikini cut.

These look like a great pair, almost a mix between g-string side and regular thong back. I had a little difficulty finding them online, but I did and hope to order soon.

Hi David. I’m not surprised at you describing this item as a mix between a g-string side and a regular thong back. The waist band is identical to the ones on the Doreanse g-strings I bought a number of years ago, and is preferable to the thicker waistbands found on many thongs. Although the pouches were fine, unfortunately the under straps were too tight which made them very uncomfortable in a relatively short space of time. For that reason I have tended to stay clear of their products, but hopefully you won’t have the same issues that I had.

T I have to agree I don’t wear my Euro from Doreanse. the Euro tail is so short and very thin, that it feels like it is going to cut into you. The image on this one though does appear a bit thicker. Nate how does the rise compare between this one and the Euro.

This one is different than the Euro. It has a normal thong back. The Euro has that string that attaches to the pouch and then the triangle in the back to give it a traditional thong look when on. Ones designed like that can be more bothersome. Most of the time I find the Euro comfortable, but once and awhile it can become bothersome. This one should be comfortable with the tail. It would be a good option for a beginner into thongs.

I definitely like the AIRE thong, I will have to give these a try . I am wanting to try a some more styles from Doreanse. Thinking of the Metro as well.

    • The Bottom Drawer says:

If you like the Aire then you should like this one too. As long as you don’t mind thicker elastic waistbands (slightly over an inch) then you’ll probably like the Metro too. Waistband was just too thick for my liking and thought it could use a little more length front to back, but for the most part it was pretty comfortable. If you haven’t read my review of it, you can read it here.

Thank you for the reviews, I don’t mind the thicker waste bands and at times a wider tail. I been looking a the warrior thong as well , I just wish that doreanse would make more of their styles in polyamide.

I want to love Doreanse – their styles and fabrics are so cool. But there’s something ill-fitting about their thongs. I’ve tried multiple styles in different sizes. But they all seem to give some friction in the tail at the top of my butt crack, making them really uncomfortable to wear for any length of time. Any advice/thoughts appreciated! Also, Nate, love your website and posts – you are quite inspired!!

Thanks for the positive comment about my blog! I’m with you in wanting to love Doreanse. They have some fun stuff, but it is hit and miss with fit. A lot of the ones I’ve tried have smaller pouches compared to other brands. The Camouflage thong is a good one in my opinion along with the Aire thong. Same design different fabric, but both are a nice cut and fit. I like the Euro thong of theirs also, but it has a string back. They can be bothersome. Typically it is fine for me, but it has bothered me too. Have you tried any of them?

  5. AW says:

Thanks Nate. Yes, totally agree, Doreanse just seem to be too tight up front. I love the fabric and cut of Aire – both the thong and brief – there’s a lot of give in the fabric but still find the pouch a little tight. I still find them superior to Plumes though! With the Euro, I actually love the pouch fit and cut [and the fabric] but I find I can’t wear them all day as the string back just starts to irritate. I really like their tanga briefs – they’re so comfy and look great – though, like you, I’m not a huge fan of their thick waist bands. I guess a lot just comes down to the individual 🤷🏻‍♂️ but it’s great to have a sounding board for others’ experiences.
