Review: Daniel Alexander Thong (DAK034)

Daniel Alexander Thong DAK034

I’ve said this in the past with other pairs that I like pairs of underwear that have some accents of color. That is one reason I was drawn to this thong from Daniel Alexander. Particularly the black with the turquoise accent that I purchased for this review. Then I also liked that it has a bit of a different design. The sides start as a traditional thong width then come to more of a string side where they meet the pouch. I really like how this changes up the look of the front of the thong. Then back keeps the look of the traditional thong back.

This DA thong is made of a blend of 85.89% Polyamid and 14.11% Spandex. It has a center seam contour pouch. It has the traditional cut thong back. It can be machine washed cold, but it is recommended to air dry them. The sides measure in at about 1 1/8″ then narrows and the tail is about 1 1/4″ wide.

I really like this Daniel Alexander thong. It’s a little tighter fit than the DA780 that has been on my top 5 list of what I pull out of the drawer for the year. Though this thong has more coverage than the DA780. I’m guessing the tighter fit is also related to the accent piping. I still find it very comfortable, but it does remind you that a thong is being worn. It offers good support and would be good for athletics. I think the narrowing of the waistband gives the front a sleek look probably along with the black and the turquoise accent. It plays into my liking of narrow sides even though it is more of an illusion with this pair.

I would recommend giving this Daniel Alexander DAK034 thong a try. That is as long as you don’t mind the feeling that you are wearing a thong. I think it is a great thong with a slight twist on a traditional thong cut.

My Rating Overview

Support Rating: 5.0
Overall Comfort: 5.0
Tail Comfort: 4.5
Recommendation: Two thongs up

Daniel Alexander makes some nice looking underwear. I agree the black with turquoise color is cool combo, the red/white is somewhat retro looking. I like the front style of this thing enough there I would give this one a try. How we, I am starting to learn I like a T shape back a little more. The top of the tail looks like it has a bit more material than I prefer, but for $10 it’s worth a try.

This one isn’t as sleek at the DA780, which has a narrow tail and pouch. It’s more of a traditional thong back. $10 is a great price for it. I like the red and white combo too, but black and turquoise wins of the 3. Just seems to pop more to me. If you decide to purchase it, let us know what you think.

Daniel Alexander was my go to company mainly for g-strings, but also for my last half back string swim bikini purchases. Sadly, expensive import taxes and postage costs made it uneconomical for me to continue buying their excellent products, but I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for sexy, affordable swim/underwear!
The thong being reviewed has too much material in the tail for my liking, but at that price, it would be a good purchase for someone just starting on their thong wearing journey.

Great review , I will have to put them on the order list . Its nice to have some thong with the tradition thong back. I have a couple of DA bikinis but I haven’t tried any of their thongs yet. That is great this work for sports , even though I still mostly wear jocks for working out . Its nice to have some thongs to mix up some.

I prefer Daniel Alexander items in solid colors, seam ones are not for me.
