Review: Body Aware Glow Thong

Body Aware Glow thong

Ever since I bought what Kiniki called the Tonga, I’ve been a fan of this cut of a thong. So when Body Aware dropped their new Glow thong I had to grab it. String sided underwear is a weakness for me! This pair just said buy me now.

Let’s look at the details of the pair before going into my thoughts on them. This thong is made out of a blend of 86% Nylon and 14% Spandex. So it has stretch with the Spandex. The sides measure about 5/16” (8mm). The tail width is about ⅞” (22mm). The pouch is a flat front look. The pair has an adjustable waistband, so you can find a good fit if needed. Then it has small metal rings that attach the waistband to the pouch. The thong has the Body Aware logo printed in silver on the upper left corner of the pouch. It also has a sizing and care tag sewn inside the top right of the pouch. The care instructions say these can be machine washed warm, no bleach, tumble dry low, and cool iron. The pair is manufactured in China.

So what do I think about the thong? First off I love this fabric. It is lightweight and has a kind of soft silky feel. It has stretches, so it will mold to you and the pair holds pretty well. The fabric is slightly transparent. This thong is a much better cut than the old Kiniki Tonga. The tail has just the right taper out to the waistband giving a nice definition to the rear. The pouch holds me well and I feel well supported in them. Overall fit and comfort is excellent. I don’t have any issues with the rings or the metal that allows you to adjust the waistband. Yes, they leave marks, but so do a lot of underwear waitbands normally on me. I did cut the size and care tag out of mine, since you could see it through the fabric. I didn’t like that esthetically, so it had to go.

These are a huge winner in my book. Love this thong cut. The fabric is awesome and feels great. Love the smooth slick feeling of them in my hands too. Very comfortable for all day wear and I moved around quite a bit in them. I’m a fan of the two color options they offer them in too. Very happy I decided to just go for this thong and not wait.

I’m wearing that thong today. I saw it and had to buy the whole glow collection of thongs. Very comfy and supportive for me as well. Just wondering if any other thongers in this vlog have tried them yet?

If they haven’t, hopefully they will consider it. I should have tried the line sooner. I personally really like the fabric.

I will probbly try them. I still prefer somthing with a little more in back like a tanga. I have Yuki Chan tangas wth a similar adjustable waistband in an ice silk fabric.

Great review, I just got the email ad from BA on these. I agree the fabric on the glow styles is awesome. I have only tried the shaper thong and I am fan . I like look and the adjustable string sides. I will certainly have to put in a order for these too.

I should have tried the Glow line sooner! It is nice to have the adjustable sides just in case. Though I didn’t need to adjust mine.

This reminds me of a tanga and thong cut that Kiniki sold decades ago, but it’s not the Tonga that is mentioned in this review. I have a couple of those, but I’m not keen on the pouch which tends to flatten rather than enhance the package. The one I’m describing was white and the material was a combination of nylon and spandex which clung like a second skin. It also had the clip sides. I still have a couple that have never been opened. Recently, I’ve been favouring string bikinis over my usual g-strings, so this review has inspired me to dig out the Kiniki bikinis and give them an outing.

I didn’t find the Tonga real smashing. Their Niki (same fabric) is the one that really was snug, which was good for playing sports. They also had it in I think it was called Miles, which was their cotton/lycra blend. I have one in the cut in white too which I think it is that blend and clip sides. It isn’t a contoured pouch at all though, but the fabric is stretchy. Don’t recall the name of it at the moment.
