Review: Body Aware Glow Tanga
As I said with the Glow thong review, I’m a sucker for string side underwear. I love a good pair of string bikini underwear like this Body Aware Glow Tanga. I really like the green and blue colors they’re offering these in, so I snagged a pair with the thong.
Here’s the details on the tanga. The bikini is made out of a blend of 86% Nylon and 14% Spandex, which means there is stretch to the fabric. The fabric does have some transparency to it. The sides measure about 5/16” (8mm). I’d probably consider the rear of the tanga a fuller ¾ back with a center seam. The tanga’s pouch has a flat front look. The pair has an adjustable waistband, so you can adjust it for a tighter fit. Kind of nice, since sometimes string bikinis for me don’t like to stay up where I like them to sit. Then it has small metal rings that attach the waistband to the pouch. The pouch has the Body Aware logo printed in silver on the upper left corner of it. With this pair they printed the size and care information on the fabric on the inside rear instead of a tag. You can see the printing a little through the fabric. The care instructions say these can be machine washed warm, no bleach, tumble dry low, and cool iron. The pair is manufactured in China.
Body Aware’s Glow silky soft fabric feels great against the skin and breathes well. It forms well to the package and offers good support. I like that they did a center seamed rear with this bikini. I think center seams can help give the rear a more defined look. With these they do give a bit of a definition look back there. I don’t have any issues with the metal rings digging in nor with the adjustable fasteners. Yes, they do leave a slight impression on the skin, but I get that with the elastic in the waistbands and such.
This is a great string bikini in my opinion. It is made of awesome fabric, a solid cut, and super comfortable. The biggest win for me with this pair is the fabric. I love the feel of it. The Glow collection is one I would recommend giving a try if you see something you like. It’s a good thing the new Glow thong dropped, making me pull the trigger to grab it and this pair. I’m very happy with them both.
