Review: Daniel Alexander G-String (DAL020)
The regulars know I do not review g-strings very often. I’m more of a traditional thong guy these days. My earlier days of thong wearing I wore g-strings a bit more often. I like the look of the traditional back over the g-string. Plus thongs are typically more supportive. When I do buy a g-string I aim for ones that have the waist and string back elastic covered in fabric. I just like the look better aesthetically. So this Daniel Alexander g-string fits that criterion and also I’m drawn to little bits of color accents on pairs of underwear. This is another one I wasn’t going to review since I thought it was on the way out a year or so ago, but they are still offering it. Though getting limited in sizes and colors, so maybe on the way out now. Still they offer similar cuts typically in the ones they do discontinue it seems.
This g-string is made from a blend of 85.89% polyamide and 14.11% spandex. It has a center seamed contour pouch. The sides and the back strap measure about 3/8”. Mashing instructions say to hand wash and hang to dry. They have their logo printed on the left pouch panel.
This Daniel Alexander g-string is a decent buy for me. It’s a very comfortable fit. No digging in anywhere, so it has been great for all day wear. I feel it could be a little tighter in the waistband, but you can pull the sides up higher on the hips to help with that. Support is good enough for everyday wear, but not for active times. I wouldn’t mind an overall snugger fit for the pouch. Though with the typical string sides of a g-string it makes it harder to get the snugness I like without the potential of it then cutting in places.
For a g-string, this pair is on par for the most part what I would want in a g-strings. If you are a fan of g-strings then I’d say Daniel Alexander is worth a try. I’ve been happy with most stuff I’ve purchased from the brand. Since I don’t wear the style often it’s not one I’ll be stocking up on. If I see a pattern or fun color combo and a sale, I then may consider adding another of their g-strings.

Seems like a fun pair and Labor Day is a great time to stock up on some end of season sales. I’m glad to hear it was comfortable for all day wear. To me, the G string style is more for a relaxing day not a day of chopping trees lol. I just checked and sizes are limited but for $12 not a bad bargain.
Can’t remember when I last chopped down a tree while wearing a g-string. 🤣
T if I were asked who would I bet money would chop a tree in a G String, I would pick you 😀
Great review of one of my favourite brands. I’ve been wearing DA strings for years and pack a selection when I’m on holiday(like now). I only stopped buying them when the cost of postage and customs taxes made it uneconomical to buy from the UK. Would definitely recommend them for quality and durability.
Great quality for the price! Nice cut as well!
