Review: Rayv50 Thin Side Thong
I’m back with another review of a pair I purchased from Posher rayv50. He has been a go to for me, since he was pointed out to me on Poshmark. He states he is new to underwear making, but to me it doesn’t seem to be the case. Plus I have been buying from him for about 3 years now. All the pairs I have are well made and it seems like a lot of care is put into making them. He makes a variety of styles though he doesn’t always have a lot available in each style/color/print combo.
His traditional cut thongs made my 2023 thong favorite list. I noticed these thin side thongs listed on his Poshmark closet. I knew I needed to give them a try. Well, guess I did more than just try one, since I bought 3 with my initial purchase of the style. That is how much I have come to like rayv50 stuff that I’ll take a chance on buying multiple of a new design.
I went with the same material for all three. It’s a blend of 95% polyester and 5% spandex. The thongs have the center seamed contour pouch. The sides of this style measure at about 1/2″ and the tail width is about 3/4″. The pouch is lined with the same fabric. On the listing it says to machine wash cold on gentle cycle and they can be tumbled dry low. These are made in the USA.
This thinner thong design is great and right up my alley! I find these fit me very well. The contour pouch holds everything solidly in place. Typically I prefer unlined pouches. Though I think the lining leads to added support along with accentuating the package more. Really I just find the lining decreases breathability. That means I pull out these thongs less during the warmer time of the year. When it is cooler out, these thongs will get pulled out regularly. The thinner tail and then with the widening of the tail starting higher up makes the back sit really well between the cheeks. I find them very comfortable for all day wear. Thinner sides are always a plus in my book as long as they stay where I like the waist to sit and these of course do the job.
As I’ve said in many of my reviews of rayv50 pairs, his stuff is worth a try in my opinion. I am a fan of this thinner thong design for sure. The more traditional thong cut is solid too! He runs some good sales throughout the year where you can get multiple pairs for less than $10 a pair. Take a look at rayv50’s Poshmark closet.
Ways to Support The Bottom Drawer by Shopping
I’ve seen you mention his before. I think it is great to support a small business such as this, I’d like to try them out – but can you talk about the sizing. I’m using my phone, so I couldn’t easily find a sizing chart. I noticed he had some labeled M, L, XL, then some with various sizes. And yes, I can reach out to him direct, but from your opinion how would you rate the waist sizing?
I don’t recall a size chart. I see it appears to be some generic one with the size chart option on the listing. I guess I find them pretty much standard US sizes. Typically I go with a medium in most brands, so that is what I have been purchasing from him. So far they have all fit well.
Great review, it’s been a while since I have been on Poshmark, I need to go check out Rayv50’s closet. I do have one of his thongs that you reviewed earlier. You are right ,I found the fit be amazing , the quality is really good. I like the prints as really nice too.
Glad you found the same as me for fit and quality. Having print options is great!
Love the size and shape, love the cut and style, not a big fan of the material, I want something a bit lighter, like ice silk material. If they could so that, I’d by heaps.
