Review: DomiGe Ice Silk G-string

DomiGe Ice Silk G-String
Even though I don’t wear g-strings very often, I ended up requesting a couple from Undies for Men to review. I know many of my regular supporters enjoy the style. Guess it’s not that I don’t enjoy the style. I just prefer the look of a more traditional back thong cut on me. I went with this one because of the ice silk fabric.

This g-string is made of a blend of 88% nylon and 12% spandex. It has a center seamed contour pouch. Unlike a lot of g-strings the waistband of this pair is wider than the back string. The waistband measures in at about 5/8″ and the tail measures about 3/8″. The waistband has the brand name DomiGe woven into it. The pair is made in China. Care instructions say to hand wash and hang to dry. The pair is available in seven colors: black, white, ruby red, tangerine red, emerald green, fluorescent yellow, and apricot. Its available in sizes M to 3XL, which is 25” to 37”.

I know some like the skinny waistbands that are typically the same width as the tail. I’m actually liking the slightly wider waistband. I feel it helps with support. The material is great. Between the fabric and the waistband I feel this g-string has excellent support. I’ve found the g-string comfortable for all day wear. I would consider it for a somewhat active day. Maybe not an activity that has a lot of running, but I think it could give decent support for some.

Overall I think this is a solid g-string in my book. The fabric is probably the biggest plus for the pair. If interested in the pair check them out. You can receive 20% off with my code TBDRAWER. They offer more then their brand DomiGe, so take a browse. They do ship from China.

Most folks like the low-rise because of the lack of whale-tail factor. My Greg hommes are a trusted g-string because I know I can wear them without them deciding to let themselves show. I’m curious if these are the same

I haven’t tried Gregg Homme g-strings to compare. I don’t feel these are a high rise cut that would show a whale tale. With string sides you can typically choose where you want them to sit on the waist. I guess depending on where you want them to sit, the sides could peek out.

Nice review TBD. As a fan of gstrings it nice to find some if offers some support. The silk material sounds nice as well!

How does it compare with Doreanse thongs and G-strings? I feel like Doreanse is the god standard for me (thought there are some as good.

    • The Bottom Drawer says:

I’d say I like the Doreanse Aire thong better, but I like it has the more traditional thong back. I think this g-string is solid for a g-string especially for the price.

Did I read correctly, or is it a typo that the 3XL is a 30inch waist?

    • The Bottom Drawer says:

That would be a typo. It’s 37″ for the 3XL (I corrected it), which is still small for that size. That is Chinese sizing for us. Thanks for catching it.

Is the brand name on the band something that could be removed? I don’t wear anything branded. Otherwise it looks worth trying.

    • The Bottom Drawer says:

The tag with brand name on it that is at front middle of the band could be removed. It is sewn at both ends of the tag. The brand name that is woven into the elastic can’t be removed. On the black pair it is the same color as the waistband color, so it really doesn’t still out. I assume it is similar on the other colors.

Always good to see g-strings featuring in the blog, and this one is definitely worth a look. Even though I’ve been favouring string bikinis recently over g-strings, if I saw this in a local shop(unlikely,I know), I would probably buy it to add to my collection.
