Review: Cut4Men Briefkini – Renaissance Collection

Cut4Men Briefkini

A quick full disclosure that this string bikini was sent to me as a sample to review from Cut4Men. It still is my honest thoughts on them as if I bought them. This is the Cut4Men Briefkini. I’m a sucker for string bikinis, so that is why I went with this pair. Then red is my favorite color, so I couldn’t pass up on the color. This pair is from their Renaissance collection.

This is a skimpy back string bikini. I’d probably put it in the halfback category though on the skimpier side. This style actually comes in two different fabrics. One fabric is what a lot of the Renaissance collection is made of. It is a blend of 93% polyester and 7% elastane. The pair I got is a 75% blend of polyester and 25% elastane. This blend feels a bit silkier to me and it is lighter. It has a little sheerness to it in the red. I would think the blue would too. The string sides measure at about 3/8″. The pouch is a centered seamed contour pouch. The bikini is recommended to be hand washed, not to be wrung, and should be hung to dry. The pair is made in Turkey.

Cut4Men actually sent me this bikini in the next size up. It was on purpose and how it is on the invoice. I don’t think the medium would have fit me with the large seeming to fit like it is a typical medium for me. I like the 93% polyester and 7% elastane, but I really like the feel of this 75% and 25% elastane blend the bikini is made from. The soft, silky feel of the fabric feels great against the body. It is a little lighter, so it is a nice breathable fabric that I could see working well for the warm weather. It has a pretty good hold for the package too. I like how the black piping seems to help cradle the package into place. I’m a sucker for string sides, so loving the skinny 3/8″ waistband.

The back does move like a lot of the skimpy back bikinis. Now I haven’t had either side of the back creep between the cheeks. It can come closer to a Brazilian looking back over time. I like that the back let’s you know you’ve got sexy underwear on. It feels like it is hugging the rear.

This is a low rise bikini though I still wear the sides higher on my hips. I’d prefer a slightly higher rise more so with the rear. I don’t mind that the pouch is a bit lower than other pairs. I don’t like when the back slides down and exposes the top of the butt. This pair can do so over time. I can usually get it adjustable pretty well when I pull them on so it does stay decently. Leggings are my friend with this pair and helps keep them in place better all the way around. A lot of the time the back just hovers above the top of the butt and does not expose. Still a tad higher would still be nice in my book.

This pair has a lot to offer, but the rise of the back is causing me to hold back on giving it two thongs up. The fabric is great, it’s a string bikini, and a fun cut back style. If you don’t mind a low rise cut then check out the Cut4Men Briefkini.

My Rating Overview

Support Rating: 4.5
Overall Comfort: 5.0
Recommendation: One thong up

Pros: for me it’s the fabric, sexy back cut
Cons: too low of a rise in the rear for me

Reminds me of some of the skimpier bikinis I wore before I graduated to g-strings. I’ve always loved string sided undies and I still pull out a bikini from my drawers every so often, so I would consider adding something like this to my collection. Love the colour and a little sheerness is fine by me. lol.I also think for shorter guys they would be great for making their legs look longer.

I love the idea of these; so tiny and would cause quite a bulge up front I guess. How strong is the side elastic to control that, I wonder. Red is such a vibrant and obvious colour.

I love string side designs too and have decided to use them in the locker room too . I’m wondering about how much support is offered by these as I like to feel really gripped and that’s why spandex Lycra is my preferred material . For swimwear I’d always prefer it to be too tight than loose . And would you say this is okay for swimming too ?

The elastic seems to be pretty strong on the pair and it stays in place pretty well.

I’d love to get a pair of these, but they’re A$38 Aussie dollars plus shipping, a bit pricey, their Renaissance Loopstring CUT4MEN09 is a bit more affordable at A$25, I’ll try that first.

I like that the logo/brand tag is small and inconspicuous. Brands that put these huge, scratchy tags on the waistband… I don’t like them and I won’t buy their products.
