Review: Daniel Alexander Thong DA780
I don’t typically start wearing a new pair of underwear or swimwear until I’m about ready to review it. I discovered I had this Daniel Alexander thong DA780 for 2 years waiting to be reviewed! So Let me tell you, I’ve been missing out. I love how this thong fits and the comfort of it. I mean I can pull it right on and don’t have to adjust anything with it. The cover is spot on to my liking.
Let’s go over some specs on it first. The sides of this thong measure about ¾”. The tail comes in around 1”. The thong is made out of 85% polyamide and 15% spandex. Think swimwear like material, but lighter weight that works great for underwear. It is recommended to hand wash and hang dry these. The pouch is a contoured pouch with a full center seam.
Now that we got that out of the way, let’s talk a bit about the pair. I’m a fan of pairs that hold the boys nicely in place. The DA780 thong hugs them nicely with the clingy fabric and keeps them from bouncing around. It has a moderate coverage pouch that frames you and keeps you front and center. I could see me wearing these for very active activities. The tail of the thong slides between the cheeks with ease. Sometimes with thong you have to get them adjust right in the rear, but this one just lays perfectly for me every time I pull them on. I think part of that is due to the pair’s tail not widening until about the top of the crack where you want the triangle part to lay. Then personally I find that pairs that have fabric similar to swimwear are typically more comfortable between the cheeks.
Only negative is with the label. With the pair I received, it appears they heat stamped the label on, which then shows embossed on the outside of the pair. Of course it just affects aesthetic, which isn’t a big knock for me. Comfort is really want matters in the end. For me this thongs wins in the category. I’m pleased with the pair and would buy again.

I love the looks of it. And that’s my favorite material. I’m gonna have to invest in a collection of them. Thanks for the tip!!!
Amazing review and amazing looking thong.
I rate it highly purely because the style is exactly the same as most of my thongs. Also the color is on my wishlist colors…
Interested to see how the nude / ginger hue will look on my skin.
I ordered the DA780 and waited until Thong Thursday to try it out, I only hate I waited so long. This thong fits great, like Nate said it just slips right on – the pouch is a good size (a little narrow but not overly narrow), the material is great and the tail is perfect. You honestly forget you are wearing it. Sizing was spot on, I wear a 34 so large was perfect. I bought the orange, which is bright for me but I thought why not go all in. Well I will be ordering other colors as soon as I can (currently on sale for $14.33 regular $17.91). If you order this one, I don’t think you will be disappointed.
I just received my order of DA780 thong and DA771 Protrude Pouch Thong. They both fit well and are overall comfy. I wear 34-35 in pants so the large fit just right. They both could have a slightly larger pouch for me but it’s fine.
