Review: DomiGe Thong Unique Cutouts V-String

DomiGe Thong Sheer
Undies for Men reached out to me to work with them. They’re a Chinese manufacturer whose brand is DomiGe. They sent me several pairs to review and a discount code for you to use to shop their website, which does offer other brands.

I’ve always liked the string side thongs with the traditional thong tail, so that is why I decided to request this pair. It’s made of a light weight sheer fabric that is a blend of 90.8% nylon and 9.2% spandex. The pouch is partially contoured at the base. The sides measure at about 9/16”. The width of the tail measures around 1 1/8″. The tail has a bit of a design feature I’ll call it. They keep the tail width all the way to the waistband at the 1 ⅛”. Then at the point where you normally see the back widening they just use the elastic to do what I like to say is the Ying of the tail. This is where they get their cut out for their title description of the pair. It is recommended to hand wash the pair and then hang them to dry. The thong has the brand label stitched center front of the pair. Then the thong is made in China. The pair is available in 5 colors: black, white, red, blue, and khaki. They offer it in the size medium to 3XL, which is 25” waist to 37”. I followed their size chart to figure out the size to order and that seems to be accurate with all the pairs I received.

I’ve said I’m not a fan of exposed elastic waistbands and more so with branding many times. I can handle pairs like this one, since the waistband is narrow and the branding is just raised and black. This thong I’m finding too be very comfortable. It has a decent cut. With this style in general, I find that the back to front length can be too long and they sit too high. I think that doesn’t particularly make the back look very good. Now on this DomiGe thong, they got the front to back length right on.

With the lightweight and sheer fabric it makes this a good pair to keep cool on hot days. The negative of this fabric is it doesn’t have as much cling. The pouch doesn’t hold me as tight as I normally like. It does give enough support for easy not so active days. Would be fine for lounging around the house.

Overall it is a decent thong. Seems to be made well and has been comfortable all day long. I’m not really a fan of sheer fabric, so I’d like to see them use one of their less transparent fabrics on this style. If it wasn’t sheer fabric then this would be one I’d like more in. I really like the style of the cut. Check out their offering and you can use my code TBDRWER during checkout for 20% off. My initial impression is their brand is worth a try especially for the price. You do however have to wait for them to ship from China. Shop for this thong here.

The sheer style of this thong is definitely not for the bashful, although it could be a fun addition to date nights. Pity the pouch isn’t as supportive as you’d like, but it’s good to see companies are still producing alternatives to the boring stuff in the high street shops.

I very much favour this style of thong, great colour, nicely see through, nice sides and a nice pouch. I’ve got a few like this but would obviously like more, I’d definitely go for the white and nude colours.

I totally agree with the branding outside! Many times how disappointing it is to see a piece that looks like a good purchase only to find a huge logo in front! My favorite outfit Prevail, did not post their brand (inside back and sometimes not at all! That is class!

I have had a look at their g-strings and some look quite OK. Those also have the same waist-band as your review thong – maybe a little wide at 15 mm but worth a try. The fabric for the two I’m interested in is solid, nylon for one and polyester for the other. The briefs don’t inspire me though.

At the low prices offered, there’s not really any need for a discount, unless they make up the price via inflated postage costs. I’ll try an order in the New Year. Does the discount available have a time limit.

Yes, with them being a Chinese manufacturer and shipping from China their stuff is fairly cheap. It appears there is free shipping worldwide at the moment. Their shipping page says for me $4.99 for orders under $30USD and free over $30USD. So the free shipping may be temporary. As far as I know there is no time limit on the discount code.

I’ve reconsidered this order. I have sufficient g-strings and these ones would only be a test as I would not be purchasing any more of them, no matter how good they are made or fit.

I favor the style a lot, but the exposed elastic, not so much. Branding of any kind keeps me from buying anything I would wear. Just don’t do it. I’m not a billboard. If you want your brand on me, you have to pay me to wear it. Done.
