Review: MCE Creations Giraffe MCE Thong
I’ve had this thong sitting in a box awhile and finally pulled it out to give it a real try. As you can see from the image and the review title it is a giraffe print. Who knows how many times I said it, but I’m drawn to animal prints. Really you mainly see prints that are leopard or snakeskin and maybe zebra. Not sure I’ve seen a giraffe print before this one. So I had to grab this thong to give it a try.
The MCE thong is a traditional cut thong. It is made of a blend of 94% Polyester and 6% Spandex. It can be machine washed cold. Not sure if it is drier safe or not. The sides of the thong measure at about 1 ⅜”. The tail measures about 1”. The pouch has a partial center seam at the base. The thong has the MCE logo printed in the print of the fabric in the middle of the back triangle of the giraffe print.
As with the swim brief I reviewed, the pouch just isn’t quite right for me in either the down or up position. The seam either needs to run not quite as far up, no center seam at all, or a full center seam. It however keeps everything nice and snug and offers great support. Just doesn’t look quite right when on me, which is a bummer. The other issue I’m having with the thong is it feels a bit tight back to front at times. Maybe I need to wear it lower on the hips. Though similar thongs showing a model wearing the thong cut it is worn high on the hips on the website. Once I find the right adjustment for the tail then it is pretty comfortable all day.
It seems the pouch is a bit different than other partial center seamed pouches. I find it pulls the sack up and out more. Kind of reminds me of the Intymen sports thong that has elastic at the base of the pouch to give some lift. Though I like the Intymen design better, but this one is fine too. As I mentioned the fabric and pouch does have a good hold and feels decent on the package. Just not quite there aesthetically for me, which isn’t a complete deal breaker on underwear as it is with swimwear.
Overall it’s a fairly decent thong. Don’t aesthetically like the look of the pouch. Guess not a deal breaker for underwear as I feel with the swim brief I reviewed. I‘m starting to find the right adjustment that works best for me for comfort more consistently. So the thong has grown some on me. I’d probably not buy another one, but I did decide to give it one thong up instead of none, which was my initial thought.

Good review , cool print. To bad on the fitment though.
What a fun print, I don’t have any animal prints, I might look for some to purchase this year.
