Review: Skinzwear M84 Tanga Cheekini Bikini

Skinzwear Cheekini M84

I’ve been eyeing Skinzwear for probably 20 years. Has been very hard for me to spring for a pair at their prices. Thanks to ChiThonger I was able to try my first Skinzwear pair in early 2021. It was the M77 thong. For some reason the tail of it wouldn’t stay comfy for me all day, but it is a popular thong for many. I haven’t given up on it yet. I have had success with finding the sweet spot of comfort for it since I reviewed it for the majority of a day. Well, anyhow with some thriftiness I purchased two more styles from them to give a try. I’ve been enjoying Cheeky pairs the last few years. They give me something between a thong and a bikini for a bit of a different look and feel. That is why one pair I decided to try is the M84 Tanga Cheekini Bikini.

I’ve actually had this pair for probably close to two years, but haven’t gotten around to reviewing it until now. It’s been well tried out and worn doing a lot of activities. If you’ve been following posts you know the cheeky style has been one I’ve been enjoying trying new styles of them out.

What I learned from the M77 is I like the stuffit pouches that Skinzwear does, which this Cheekini has. It’s centered, seamed and holds everything nicely. The sides of this pair measure about ¾”. The base of the back is about 1 1/8″ where the cheekiness begins. The fabric of this pair is 83% Antron nylon and 17% Lycra. You’re supposed to hand wash and hang it to dry. They’re made in the USA.

This cheeky pair is at the top of my list for the style, which is only a few different ones in the drawer. It edges out my one rayV50 cheeky, which I think could compete better in a clinger fabric than I got it in. The Skinzwear M84 wins with it’s stuffit pouch and fabric that just holds everything nice, secure, and in place. The back I think is slightly better than the rayV50 though I think some of that is due to fabric. It has a bit less fabric and the back seems slightly skimpier design. I like how these sit a bit between the cheeks and also kind of grips the butt too.

This could just be how I wear them, but the sides are high rise near the hips. The front and back kind of give a v-shape (maybe a little rounded bottom v). The top middle of the back doesn’t seem to be snug against the skin at the waist at times. I think making the back two pieces with a center seam would address that feeling. It would also change up the look with more of a v-shape cut rear.

I find this cheeky pair from Skinzwear very comfy. It is really enjoyable to wear. I look forward to adding another one to my drawer when there is a good deal on one in a print I like. If you like cheeky pairs then check this one out. Then if you don’t need extra room in the pouch take a look at Skinzwear stuffit pouches. I’m really a fan of how they fit and hold me.

I generally don’t like cheeky bikinis, but this looks more like a thong, I love the colour and cut, the pouch looks great, I’d have no problem purchasing one of these, I’d be happy to wear it on the beach.

I enjoy wearing the Skinzwear.com thong string bikini. The M73U products they have. They are very comfortable on me. Like the way I can move freely in the water. Very light weight. Have been ordering their products for the last five years. They have many styles and fabrics.

It should be called a cheeky thong, not a cheeky bikini. Nomenclature is not consistent from one maker to another.
