Review: rayv50 Cheeky Thong

rayv50 cheeky thong
I guess I’m sort of a Posher now (not sure if you have to be a seller to officially be one or not). ChiThonger tweeted about checking out rayv50 on Poshmark. Well, I liked what I saw, created an account, and placed my order. rayv50 states on his listings the following: “Starting out in undergarment sewing, new to sewing, there may be some minimal flaws.” Now from the pairs I bought, it doesn’t look like he is new to sewing undergarments. They look well made to me.

Ever since trying out the Daniel Alexander risky boxer, I’ve wanted to give some more cheeky styles a try. When I saw this one I had to have it. I thought it looked like a fun print and a nice looking back cut. Plus rayv50 prices are very reasonable, but I’d imagine at some point they could increase some.

This cheeky features a center seamed contour pouch. Of course it has the cheeky style back. The width at the base where it is narrowest measures about 1″. The sides measure about 1 3/8″. The fabric of the cheeky thong is a blend of 95% cotton and 5% spandex. Washing instructions are machine washable cold and tumble dry low.

What do I think about this pair? Well, I actually couldn’t wait to give this pair a test drive, which is why it has jumped ahead of other pairs in the review pile. Let me start off by saying the only thing I would like is a snugger pouch. Though I’d say that comes down to fabric, since it is mostly cotton. Not going to get the clinginess I typically go for with the fabric blend. I do find the support is good for everyday wear. It is what I expected when I ordered it knowing the fabric content.

Now, I think this is a pretty awesome cheeky pair and am very happy with the purchase. I like the coverage better than the risky boxer. The sides are narrower and around the width I like on my underwear. I like how the back starts with a traditional thong tail and then widens quickly to more of a bikini back. The widen seems to be about ⅓ of the way up the butt. Maybe a little bit higher once the back settles in more after moving about. I think I like how the back looks on me. Definitely like the look of this cheeky thong on me over the risky boxer. Now, I do still like the risky boxer, so I’m not trying to diss it.

I find rayv50’s cheeky thong to be very comfortable. It’s a great option for something a bit different than a bikini, but not completely a thong. That slight cheeky feel is a fun reminder of your sexy underwear choice for the day. Though you don’t always notice the cheekiness. I recommend going to check out his offerings on Poshmark.

My Rating Overview

Support Rating: 3.5
Overall Comfort: 5.0
Tail Comfort: 5.0
Recommendation: Two thongs up

Pros: very comfortable
Cons: would like more support

Great colors! I’d like to see it as a bikini to have more of the colors. Lol!

Only why I know is on Poshmark by leaving a comment on the Meet the Posher page or on an item. There isn’t any private messaging that I’m aware of, so only public comments.

Thank you for the quick response. I will try that when I get from volunteering. I love this blog and enjoy all of your insight as to skimpy suits and underewear which have been a staple of mine for years.

I like the colors in the fabric but not a fan of it being mostly cotton. I checked out his page and there are some nice options and reasonable prices. I’m still not sold on the cheeky style, but he has some nice thong options. My drawer is a lot of blue, black, and grey so I want to mix in some color over time.
