Review: Rayv50 Halfback LowRise Bikini Brief

rayv50 Halfback Bikini Brief

Up for review this round is another pair from Posher rayv50. Probably at least half of my reviews this year have been from him. This one he called the style a low-rise halfback brief. As you can see from the photo I went with an animal print. Seems I have a hard time resisting them.

Not sure I would categorize them as a low-rise brief. I’d still called them a bikini brief cut. Also not exactly a half back in my book either. Maybe I’d put it in the ¾ back group. The bikini does feature a centered seam contour pouch, which is lined. This pair is made of a blend of 94% polyester and 6% spandex. Though you’ll have to pay attention to his description for fabric content and washing instructions. The sides of this bikini measure about 1 1/2″.

I find this to be a pretty solid bikini cut for me. The pouch holds my package well and gives great support. I can be very active wearing them. As I mentioned above the back of these isn’t exactly a half back. The bikini has wider sides than most half backs I’ve tried. This has the back of the bikini starting wider at the top. Now it narrows to a nice cut as it comes down to the bottom of the butt. I feel it is a little bit wider still for a half back at the base of the rear. It’s kind of between a half back and ¾ back. They do give a bit of a cheeky feel, which I like. Let’s me know I’m rocking sexy undies. Sometimes a constant reminder makes everything that much better.

My recommendation is to check out Posher rayv50’s stuff. Find something you like and give it a try. His prices are reasonable and quality is excellent. He has even ran some great deals to get several pairs cheaper. I’ll be continuing to add more to my drawer from him.

My Rating Overview

Support Rating: 5.0
Overall Comfort: 5.0
Recommendation: Two thongs up

Pros: I like the support and the cheeky feel of the pair.
Cons: None for me

It looks awesome. And I love the print. Is it stil avilable?

No, he doesn’t have it available in that particular print anymore. Here’s the link to what he is offering at the moment. https://poshmark.com/closet/rayv50 Unfortunately, he doesn’t have them categorized by style. Appears there is a search that will just show results for his stuff.

It seems like he is a speculative maker. Like “I’ll make one item of this style and size and hope it sells”? Occasionally there are various sizes available, but for the most part just one size offered. Am I reading it correctly.

Is his size chart correct. I’m reading it that a US size S = AU size S. I don’t think that’s right. AU = UK, but I thought AU was one size more than US (AU large = US medium). And you have to know your size anyway, as no actual measurements are given to correspond to a particular size.

The fabric of his split-colour g-string isn’t going to be too comfortable. It’s 96% spandex and 4% nylon (wrong way round).

Looks like some nice g-strings, but I’m wary with these issues being found.

It’s just an individual that I’m guessing makes them in his spare time. Says he is new to the undergarment making. It is possible that others sizes of the particular style/fabric are already sold. But he’s not making multiple in the sane fabric and size for sure. I haven’t interacted with him as of yet to get his back story.

I can’t find the actual waist size dimensions either. Though at one point I thought I did, but maybe I just saw it on one pair. Like I said he is new and probably everything is based on US standard waist sizes with him being based in the US. I know I wear mediums in other brands and his medium fits me. I’m not sure if it is always the case with AU being a size larger. I wear a medium in Sluggers and a large in aussieBum. Guess that is why a size chart with the actual measurements are key.

Most of the ones I’ve come across are usually less than 10% spandex, but definitely pay attention to each description.

He could improve upon things, but so far I have had luck with most of my purchases and his prices fit my budget needs.

Yes, I’ll say that about his prices, very reasonable indeed. Another reason why I was interested in trying his products.
