Review: DomiGe Modal Bikini Briefs Mid-Rise

DomiGe Modal Bikini Briefs
Not too sure about the print of this bikini brief, but I wanted to try the mid-rise cut. These were sent to me from Undies for Men to try out and review. They’re a retailer based in China. They manufacture the brand DomiGe, but sell other brands too.

This pair is made of a blend of 95% modal and 5% spandex. The bikini brief has a center seamed contour pouch. The center seam is stitched with black thread for a bit of an accent. The back of the bikini is a very full back cut. Sides of the pair measure about 1 ½”. These have an elastic waistband with the brand name DomiGe woven into it that measure about 1/2“. Leg openings also have black elastic that accents the openings. Care instructions say to hand wash and hang to dry. These are made in China. They’re available in two colors: a blue print (maybe a light blue) and a purple print. The waist size range is 25” to 39”.

What this pair has going for it is comfort. It does have a decent frontal cut. The pouch does offer good support. The biggest con for me is way too much rear coverage for me. It seems more like a full cut brief coverage though I believe that is what the goal was with this design. I’m not sure I like the print or the black elastic leg openings. In general I’m not finding I like the overall look of the pair. Probably not one I’ll be wearing often.

For me what this pair has going for it is its overall comfort. It’s too much coverage for me, so not one I will personally be recommending. They have better cuts in my opinion for a bikini style. I like most things about this bikini, the colour, pattern, thin sides and a full back, except for the modal material, if they did it in say an ice silk material it would be a game changer!

I agree Nate, I like a little cheekier cut bikinis as well. I have some pairs of similar to these , nice to wear only when you don’t want thong or a skimpier bikini. Which isn’t to many times.

Sometimes I’ll see an item of underwear in a catalogue or website and wonder why anyone would want to buy it. Unfortunately, that was my reaction to this brief. Don’t like the pattern or the cut, but I suppose it’s better than boxers.
