The Package Deal Breaker

I moved away from traditional men’s underwear styles many years ago for several reasons. One of those reasons was for support. Though I didn’t know at the time when I decided I wanted to try bikini style underwear that would be a reason. My reasoning for trying was I liked the look and the idea of no restrictions on my thighs.
I don’t know why I never really thought about underwear support. That changed when pulling on my first pair of bikini underwear. My first pair wasn’t anything like the options we have to choose from now for pouches. But having something more of a cup shaped that held the package was a big difference over a pair of briefs. It just felt right!
Really if they still offered some of the pairs I got in stores in the past, I’d still be happy with them. I really loved the Brut string bikinis I had. Unfortunately, these days us guys have to go to the Internet for our bikini and thong underwear.
So let’s get to the title of the post “The Package Deal Breaker.” I’m not real picky with what I like in a pouch. I do have some preferences, but I don’t stick to them completely.
My number one deal breaker for me would be a pouch with no support. I don’t want to hang any, which is why I hate boxers. Most of the time I want a snug pouch that allows little movement.
Then I don’t want the complete opposite and be smashed into the pouch. Being overly compressed is not very comfortable in my opinion. I want the pouch to more or less mold to my package.
Another no no is a pouch that can not contain. This could be poor elastic that lets things slip out. A pouch that is made too small to even fit into.
What I look for in a pouch is a nice snug fit that allows little movement. something that molds around the package. So underweaaar that is made of fabrics with stretch and clinginess. Think lycra and spandex blended into the fabrics. then I prefer a traditional cut center seamed contour pouch. I like moderate coverage pouches. Now I will do flat front pouches if it is a pair I like the looks of and in the right fabric.
In general if the pouch holds me well, I’ll wear the pair if it is comfortable and I like the look and feel of it. My preferences aren’t hard fast rules, just what I typically prefer the most. What makes and breaks the pouch of underwear for you? Do you have any set rules a pouch must or must not have?
Ways to Support The Bottom Drawer by Shopping

You hit the nail on the head and covered every reason i have always liked these types of underwear.
I agree with you completely. You hit every strength I look for in underwear for daily use.
Hi TBD
This post was so relatable. I like but I’m not set.
That’s the fluid nature of our underwear world.
I agree with you.
My personal preference is always about package hold and comfort. I sit a lot especially at my generic office desk.
So my pouch need to be able to contain me, hold me snug so things don’t move or flop around when I move or get up. But it should but a compression on my jewls.
The boxer briefs I wear are either modal or bamboo. Then I also love my Thongs or briefs but some of them can’t be worn all day.
So I like a variety of pouches but my No No is the compression feeling or small pouches that don’t allow movement
Great topic. I’m sure most of us have had our share of disappointments when it comes to pouches in underwear and swimwear. I had issues with certain Kiniki products that squished everything down with no room to move. Worst offenders were the Cuba Tanga swimwear and the Kelly Tanga underwear. Had to pull them down at the front to spend a penny. I like a degree of support, but not that much. Don’t like pouches that don’t caress the goods and cause you to flop about, especially when the temperature is low. Not everyone is a shower(lol).
for many years my favorite underwear and swim suits came from Parr of ARizona which morphed into NuParr until they closed shop. Now my favorite is Intymen INI032 Roma Bikini.
I love the low front Pocket and haf hip design,
Hope this helps others.

How true! Certain bikinis are indeed better fitting than others and generally by brands. I lamented when Prevail closer their doors. Just about every style or material was a great fit. Quality control is a huge factor!
I agree , the like pouches that offer good support without smashing. Lycra and microfiber are my favorite choices of fabric. Lately I been wearing bulges pouches, like feeling encased.
