2023 Bikini Favorites

I always have a bit of a difficulty deciding, which bikinis I wear most during the year. Only spot I know for sure is my number one position. I haven’t found a pair that can really rival it! I was considering having a grouping of Posher rayv50 bikinis pop on the list, since I pulled out a few of them regularly. However, I’ve decided to stick with some of my pairs that have been in the drawer for awhile now. I’ve just did a little switching around of my last year’s list.
____________
5. Kiniki Cambridge Tanga

Staying at number five is this Kiniki’s Cambridge Tanga. I see this as a fairly classic string bikini. It’s very comfortable and a great every day pair. Unfortunately, Kiniki has done away with this particular style and brought it back with a thick elastic branded waistband.
4. Blueline Microfiber String Bikini

I decided to drop this one down the list a couple notches, though it and number 3 are fairly equal. Not really anything out of the ordinary with this string bikini. Another pretty classic cut with a nice fit. The microfiber fabric gives a great overall fit and good support for being active. I like to pull this one out of the drawer for doctor visitors. This one seems to be no longer offered out there.
3. Kiniki Narrow Front Brief – Print

This pair partially rivals my number one pick. It has a nice skimpy cut and great fabric. Unfortunately, I got my first pair shortly before Kiniki discontinued it! I really liked the fit and feel of their poly lycra fabric. These are pretty close to the number 2 pair on my list, the Harry brief, but this fabric is better for year round wear.
2. Kiniki Harry Brief

I ended up stocking up on this model last year in case Kiniki discontinues it. Right now it is still offered and thinking I should get more to have in the future. It’s a mostly cotton blend, so I have to reserve this pair for the cooler weather. I like the narrow fronts and the cut of the back. It stays well in place for all day wear.
Check them out on Kiniki’s site. Their photos misrepresents the cut of this bikini and many of their other pairs.
1. Prevail Sport String Brief

As with my thongs, I’m sticking with the brand Prevail Sport for the bikini number one spot. Luckily I still have a good supply of this style. For me, I have not found a pair that rivals this bikini. Maybe because I haven’t spent enough money to try some bikinis out there that do look a bit similar to it.
___________
That wraps up my bikinis that were getting pulled out of the drawer and on most often in 2023. Just a little mixing around of last year’s selection. Unfortunately only one style is still available to buy. What was your go to bikini(s) this year?

Nice review, interesting that Kiniki got three top places, I really like the look / cut of your no. 3 choice as well as your No. 1 Prevail, personally, out of those I’d say your No. 4 Blueline string bikini would be may favourite out of the 5.
Now I just might have to do a bathers review for you all 🤣🤣
Hope you all had a great Christmas and have a great New Year.
There is some loyalty there to Kiniki even though they have moved away from many of the styles I liked of theirs. They were one along with Body Aware and Prevail Sport that I found early on in my journey into bikinis and thongs. I am pretty disappointed in Kiniki’s offering now. Seems they’ve gone to the brand waistbands of various ticknesses. I thought a tanga was supposed to have string sides and they only have 2 now with the traditional string sides. My 2,3, and 4 are pretty even really; especially with 2 and 3 being the same cut just different fabric.
Great choices and great to see Kiniki features so heavily in your list. After dismissing an initial try on of the Harry brief, I saw my senses and it really is a great high cut brief. The Gentsmart brief is still my favourite bikini but Kiniki recently discontinued it so will be interesting to see what they bring out in 2024.
The Gentsmart is a good one too, I missed out grabbing more before they ran out of my size. I also liked their Raffles tanga.
Yes love their Raffles tanga. The newer ones of the tangas they did were never quite as good sadly.
When I look at Nate’s top 5 rundown of bikinis, it makes me wonder if the people at Kiniki not only realise how popular their goods are, but also how many of their popular styles are becoming discontinued? Occasionally a particular favourite will make a return, but in my experience they rarely capture the magic of the original due to some change in the cut or waistband etc.The Gigolo g-string is a classic example of getting it wrong the second time around.
The second half of 2023 was the year when I reconnected with bikini briefs in a big way having previously been a wearer of g-strings 99% of the time. I have written in the forum about discovering Yutata bikinis and how they are currently my go to choice of underwear. In some ways they are similar to a g-string due to the narrow pouch and string sides, but the seat really clings and molds itself to your butt and is soft to the touch.
Prevail brand I like. Can you still get these?
No, Prevail Sport closed their doors for retirement in 2019.
