Review: Dietz Pulso Bikini Brief – Sport Mesh
Another awesome bikini by Dietz. Now it does appear that Dietz is no longer offering the Pulso brief made out of the sports mesh material. I decided to still review it because they do offer it in another material and should be pretty similar in cut. Also at the time of this writing Johnny Beach Buns still had one color in large and extra large in stock. The Pulso bikini brief may rival my favorite pair from Dietz the Joker bikini brief. From the time I pulled the Pulso brief on, I knew it was going to be a good day.
There are a couple things to keep in mind with this particular pair. First these were tight getting over my hips, which was not an issue in a medium in any other pairs of theirs I own. Now they do fit well once I wiggle them a bit over the hips. The snuggest of them are spot on for me. Excellent support with everything held nice and secure. Could wear these running and not worry about bouncing about. The other thing to keep in mind is a general thing with mesh underwear. Depending on what you wear over your underwear you can get a rubbing effect that causes what I call a pinch to your privates.
Neither of those things breaks this pair for me. I really do love how these fit. Also love the color accent piping. These are a low rise cut. The cut reminds me of the Olympic divers swim briefs, but with narrower sides. The back is what I’ll call 3/4ish, so shows some extra cheek. It does have a centered seam front pouch, so there is some contouring to it. The sides of these are around 1 1/2″. The fabric is a sport mesh. They have the holes like some athletic shorts have (maybe those are a throwback athletic short fabric?). So there will be some visibility of your package, but will help keep things cooler for the boys. They’re made out of a blend of 84% polyamide and 16% Elastane. It is recommended to hand wash and hang these to dry.
I am leaning towards these being my new favorite pair from Dietz. If not they are only a hair behind. Will have to try their newer model to compare to this one sometime. The Pulso bikini brief is two thongs up in my book. They will stay near the top front of my underwear drawer.
|Recommendation:||Two thongs up|
Pros: Nice fit and cut though tighter fit getting on than other Dietz mediums. Good support.
Cons: Mesh can bite with outer fabric rubbing against underwear; Looks like sports mesh version discontinued
