Speedo results in the 2014 Expedia Flip Flop Survey
Expedia’s 2014 Flip Flop Survey is showing an improvement in the acceptance of the swim brief at the beach. This year they surveyed 11,165 people from 24 countries. World wide acceptance for the swim brief is at 74%, which is a 9% increase over 2013. Topping the list in 2014 is Austria with 94% acceptance followed by Germany and Spain at 91%. Last year it was France with 91% and Italy at 87%. Neither is listed in the 2014 survey results. Japans acceptance doubled from 29% in 2013 to 60% this year. USA increased their acceptance five percentage points to 57%, which is still lower than the TripAdvisor 2010 and 2011 surveys (see post here). Norway upped theirs six percentage points to 40%.
Acceptance of the swim brief seems to be moving in the right direction and hopefully we continue to see improvement in the next survey.
