Summer 2024 – Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach

This summer beaching was just a short trip to Virginia Beach. We didn’t make it to the local beaches this summer. Virginia Beach was a new beach for us and we weren’t sure what it would be like. It was recommended to us, since it is slightly closer than the other beaches we visited in the past. Overall it was a pretty decent trip.

We arrived late on a Monday, so no beach or pool time. Tuesday was our first full day there. Unfortunately, for the first time in 6 years I resorted to trunks at the beach. Our vacation time overlapped with one of my wife’s co-worker’s family, so I toned it down for the day! I spent time in the ocean with the kids boogie boarding and some time sitting in the chair. Then some time in the pool later with the kids. Guess this day was a reminder of why I really opt for wearing swim briefs.

Dolphins on the speed boat dolphin watch rideWednesday was the first day that was just us. We started off the morning with a speed boat dolphin watch ride. After lunch it was that time to step my game back up and wear what I really prefer to wear. So I picked out a swim brief and lathered on the sunscreen. Then we headed down to the beach for the afternoon. Of course most beach goers were already there and set up, so we got settled in the back. Off with the sandals, shirt, and then the shorts. Finally, I was back the way it was supposed to be. I chose to go with my 2eros v10 swim brief. I spent a lot of my time in the water helping the kids catch waves on their boogie boards again. Definitely, more enjoyable in a swim brief than trunks. I did get a little time relaxing in the chair and some helping the kids play in the sand. We then went directly to the outdoor pool from the beach and spent a little while there before it was time to get some dinner.

2eros V10 Swim Brief in Paradise

This 2eros V10 swim brief has been my go to on our last two vacations.

Thursday was our final full day at Virginia Beach. We started the day at the aquarium, since the weather looked better later on in the afternoon. We probably made it to the beach around 3ish. It ended up being a pretty nice beach day. Even less crowded with it being late afternoon. For this beach outing I stuck with the same 2eros swim brief I wore the previous day. I spent a lot of my time in the water with my daughter jumping the waves after a little boogie boarding to start. Then the kids did some playing in the sand. Before we headed off the beach, we all spent a good amount of time looking for some sea shells along the beach. I think we spent at least 4 hours on the beach. We also hit the outdoor pool for a bit that evening until it closed. There weren’t many others enjoying a late pool dip either. One girl joined the kids in playing and then only a couple other people were there. I kept the 2eros on for the pool too.

Turlock & Co swim brief in blue

This is my Turlock & Co swim brief who is no longer in business.

On our departure day, we decided on an early morning start to test out the indoor pool. This go I decided to switch it up and wear my blue Turlock & Co swim brief. There was no one at the pool when we arrived, but before we had to depart there were several people enjoying it.

Virginia Beach as a swim brief destination is a decent one from my first experience visiting. I felt comfortable wearing mine there. The beaches didn’t feel crowded in the area we were at. Felt like we had space and not too far back from the water’s edge. There was a boardwalk that runs along the beach, which was nice for checking out different areas and allowed for biking, walking, etc. For those into swim briefs, I would say check out the area. No, I did not see any other guys in a swim brief. I just felt pretty at ease there.

Good to hear that you had a good time and were able to fly the flag for bikini wearers.
