2023 Underwear and Swimwear Collaborations in Review

I did several underwear and swimwear collaborations in 2023. I thought I’d take a look back at the companies I worked with during the year. They all sent me some pairs to try out and I did a Q&A with some of them. I worked with the brands Cut4Men, AWRY, and Body Aware along with the retailer Haut Underwear.

Cut4Men

Cut4Men Renaissance Thong

C4M03 Renaissance Thong

The first company I worked with in 2023 was the brand Cut4Men out of France. They sent me four pairs of underwear to try out. I got a thong and three bikini cuts of varying coverages from their Renaissance collection. You can check out the reviews of the underwear pairs here. My favorite from the 4 was their thong model C4M03. It hit the support I like and of course the comfort level. It’s the pair I’ve worn the most from them. I also really like their Brazilian brief that works well for Valentine’s Day with the heart pattern. It’s a fun bikini cut that doesn’t stay 100% in place, but does a pretty good job considering the skimpy back cut. Overall the quality so far of the pairs appear to be solid. The underwear is actually made in Turkey.

Haut Underwear

The next company I had the pleasure to work with is retailer Haut Underwear. Ken joined me for a great Q&A session. Check out the Haut Underwear Q&A here. Haut Underwear looks at offering a broad selection of premium and quality International brands along with premium customer service. For me a lot of the pairs are out of my buying price range. When I initially looked for pairs that interest me there weren’t a lot of them other than in the swimwear section. Haut Underwear’s thong selection has grown since I got my pairs. A lot of the options in thongs and bikinis have the brand waistband, which isn’t something I particularly like in a pair. I ended up requesting 2 bikini underwear cuts and a swim brief. 2eros V10 swim brief in Paradise

2eros V10 Swim Brief in Paradise

My favorite pair that Haut Underwear sent me is the 2EROS V10 swim brief. I got it in the Paradise print, which is a nice tropical print. The overall fit of the swim brief is great. It’s a nice balance of conservative and not too conservative for times I feel I want a bit more coverage like on vacation with extended family. I wore it a couple days on our beach trip in 2023. It performed well in and out of the water and was very comfortable.

Ken is always looking for quality brands to bring into his online store. I’d like him to bring in more undies without the exposed elastic waistband. I am happy he has expanded his thong offering.

AWRY

A new brand that started early in 2023 I collaborated with is called AWRY. They are out of Texas. I requested what they call a v-string, their cheeky thong, a bikini, and they included a brief in my order too. Check out the AWRY undies reviews here. Since receiving my pairs they added a more traditional thong to their site’s line up along with some new color options. I was able to ask owner Quinn some questions about his brand. AWRY Highlight Brief

AWRY Highlight Brief

My top pair from AWRY would be their Highlight brief. The clingy fabric and cut is in sync with my likings for a pair of bikini underwear. I like the elastic center seamed rear that gives the butt a more defined look. Then the runner up is their Cheeky thong. Although it has more coverage front and side than I like. It wins in comfort. Also it just feels great on. I think AWRY did well in choosing their fabrics. Their items are made in China, which is a bit of a bummer. I guess it at least helps make them a little more affordable and allows them to make a livable profit. I have seen ads with promos that give good discounts to allow you to give them a try at a reduced price. Quality of the pairs do seem to be solid.

Body Aware

I wrapped up 2023 with a couple collaboration posts thanks to the brand Body Aware. David, co-founder, took some time and joined me for a Q&A session. I started buying from Body Aware over twenty years ago and discovered them a few years before that. They’ve been around for over thirty years, so they are doing something right. I have found quality to be very good with pairs I have bought from them over the years.

They do change up their line regularly, which is good and bad. It’s bad when you find a pair you really like and it is gone before you can get more! Now if you like variety and change then keep your eye on Body Aware. They do occasionally bring pairs back, but it’s not something they regularly do. You may find similar cuts, but probably a different material.

Body Aware Lined Tanga Swim Bikini Brief

My most recent favorite pair from them is a swim bikini they called Lined Tanga Swim Brief. I love the cut and fit of it. They actually have some really good looking swimwear right now that if I wore the skimpier swimwear styles more often I might pick a pair or two up. They offered a TLC brief that is a nice every day bikini. Then one that surprised me that I tried from them that was sheerer than I was expecting was their Italian Tanga. What really surprised me was the skimpy back stayed in place well and offered good support for how lightweight the fabric and elastic is. I do recommend trying out Body Aware if you find pairs that interest you.

As you can see 2023 was the year of collaborations for me. They were all great to work. Each has something to bring to the underwear and swimwear table. Body Aware also brings leggings and bodysuits.

    Had to reach for my sunglasses before I studied the bright light, bright light collection of goodies you accumulated over the year(lol). Great to see so many companies reaching out to you for your opinion on their goods, and it couldn’t happen to a nicer, more deserving guy.

    Love all the colours, I’ve really been getting into bright undies and bathers recently too. I love the little blue string in the bottom left of your photo, I wonder what make that is?
