Cheeky Underwear

Cheeky started coming in style a few years ago now. I would say it seems to be a pretty popular style now especially for women. I know I’ve been enjoying adding them to my underwear drawer.
I wouldn’t say I always like the look of cheeky pairs on me. It’s more about how they feel when they are on than how they look. As with all underwear it is really about how they feel and make you feel. Comfort is key!
There is quite a variety in the cheeky cut. I have some that are fairly thong like. Others just have a bit of cheekiness at the base of the back. Of course some ‘in-between.’ Really they have different amounts of coverage all the way around.
A lot of people think the thong would be the wedgie feeling undies. You can read more on thongs here. Now I’m going to say cheeky is the wedgie feeling undies. However not the typical type of underwear wedgie people think of. Cheeky is a sexy underwear wedgie feel. How can that be?
Well, they’re designed that way unlike the fuller styles that people get wedgies with. Less fabric between the cheeks usually means more comfort. Like with thongs not all cheeky pairs may be comfortable. Typically, cheeky pairs are cut narrower at the base of the back to allow some slippage between the cheeks. Some have a thong like look near the base and then get fuller at a picked point by the designer. As I said there are quite the variety in designs of cheeky pairs.
Why would one want the wedgie feel?, you say. It’s fun in my opinion! You have a reminder you are wearing sexy underwear and no one else gets to know. For me my underwear is about having fun and feeling good in them, but of course it has to be comfortable too. I find cheeky fits the bill and is nice to mix in with my bikini and thong styles.
Ways to Support The Bottom Drawer by Shopping

What are those in the header image??? I need them lol!
The red one is AWRY Cheeky Thong. Blue and beige are Daniel Alexander Risky Boxer. The other three are from Posher rayv50 who makes a variety of styles in a variety of fabrics, so just have to keep watch of his listings there.
I tried the AWRY Cheeky Thong but alas it was very tight up front 🙁 I’ve got a DA thong that I really like, I’ll have to grab that one. And I’ll have to look up rayv50 for sure. Thank you!
I prefer the cheeky style over thong or g-strings. Gives me a reason to keep in shape!
Not a style I would consider.
I wear the Kiniki Kelly Tanga all the time. They are a cheeky style I really like. Tried them a few years ago & never looked back. They are closer to a thong, though wider at the back and are very comfortable & supportive.
I have several Kiniki Kelly Tangas but I’ve never thought of them as being a cheeky style. Perhaps the design has changed since I bought mine many moons ago, but the ones I have are what I’d describe as half back string tangas. I should add that they are extremely tight, especially the pouch.
Cheeky isn’t my type of style, they do look good but I’ve never found a comfortable one.
Out of the hundred of undies I’ve got, I only have one, I never wear it but it’s too good to throw out. I much prefer thongs and strings.
Each to his own of course, if you like them go for it.
I bought one DA Risky Boxer to try the cheeky style. It was comfortable and fit well; the material was smooth so it didn’t feel to wedgie like, but obviously there was more material than a thong. In the end not a style I would often wear. I much prefer to just go with a thong – less chance of visible under lines; or a bikini with a half back might be okay.
Are there recommendations for cheeky style underweat that won’t break the bank? I have tried some no show VS pink cheekies, but once they stretch my sack hangs out. Kinda of uncomfortable…
I prefer the Icon cheeky myself over any of the no show. They have better holding power over the day
Getting back to too much fabric for my liking. So I haven’t considered this style. I also have found comfortable g-strings and string bikinis now, so I’m reluctant to try new styles. Just based on past experience of trying styles or brands only for them to be never used once tried.
