Review: rayv50 Rio Back Thong
This is the second of three pairs of underwear I purchased from Posher rayv50. I went with this one, because I liked the look of the pouch coverage. I don’t do a lot of Rio/half back styles because they aren’t ones that like to stay in place. He does call this one a thong, but coveragewise I would place it into a bikini. Maybe he went with thong, since this style normally sneaks between the cheeks. Or maybe you just do that from the start for a cheeky pair. I have seen many women doing that with skimpy back suits that aren’t thongs.
I’m not sure where to place the back of this bikini. The start at the top of the back is in the half back area. The bottom of the back is a little narrower than I would say a half back would be. I guess hence the Rio thong name. It features a nice center seamed contour pouch with moderate coverage. This one offers decent support for everyday wear. Though support would depend on fabric it is made of. The sides measure about 1 5/16″. They’re made in California.
I am actually surprised about the back of this bikini. It stays in place better than I thought it would. It does have thicker elastic around the openings than others I have tried, which may give it some extra hold. Now it doesn’t stay in place all day. I find it takes quite a bit of time to creep between the cheeks at times. Of course it depends on what you are doing. Like walking around or doing stuff around the house it can stay pretty close to in place for several hours. I’ve even had it stay in place pretty well while sleeping in it. He does call it a thong, so cheeky action is expected. I like the moderate coverage of the pouch. Now I’m not really a fan of how the back looks on me. Some of that is due to me liking the look of more coverage on me than most half backs. Also the fabric isn’t always a nice smooth looking fit on the butt. You get wavy wrinkles. More so when it gets cheekier. A different fabric may reduce the wrinkle look.
Like the last pair I reviewed, the Rio thong is well made. I am happy with the quality of it. It is an enjoyable one to wear now and then. If I see it in a print I like and a clingier fabric, I would buy the style again. The cheeky thong I reviewed I like better. Then the bikini I will be reviewing at some point is above this one too. I would recommend checking out his offerings and giving his underwear a try.

Cons: Not surprising the back doesn’t stay in place hence called a thong, Would like a smoother back, so doesn’t appear like too much fabric.
Ways to Support The Bottom Drawer by Shopping
It looks like a bikini to me also, just a narrow-backed style. If it is creeping in, with movement, to act like a thong, then that excludes it as a style for me to wear. I want my bikinis to stay in place.
I’m with you if it is a bikini I want the back to stay, which is hit and miss with styles like this. This one is acceptable for me, since the creeping isn’t too bad. I would like to see if a different fabric would stay better and look better on the butt at some point.
I like narrow-back bikinis, especially in swimsuits. This summer, I wore so-called “cheeky” Rufskin and Manstore swimsuits on the beaches of southern France and I didn’t feel any disapproving eyes. That is an issue when it is an individual making only a few in each style. Limited selection and fabric option that don’t last long. You can either keep checking back or you can try to contact him to see if he could make more. Can do that by commenting on one of his listing or creating a bundle and asking him using the bundle. The Bundle way is more private than commenting in a listing, but can still be seen by others. Just less like to be seen by other people.

I recently purchased the the Rio Back Thong thought it was great , I liked the style and the print was nice too. I thought it was comfortable. I thought the rio back stayed in place for the most part. The quality of the material and stitching is pretty good . Thank you for introducing Rayv50 to us !
