First, I’d like to give a special thank you to Haut Underwear for sending me this lovely thong from Teamm8 as well as making me aware of the brand itself. Teamm8 is an Australian brand that specializes in fashion-forward underwear, swimwear and activewear for men. They’re based in Sydney and they’ve been around since 2008.
The Eclipse Thong is a very modern looking, traditional thong with what I would describe as full fontal coverage. The seam on each side of the thong measure 1.25 inches and wrap around to form a very classic looking thong back. The fabric consists of 87% polyamide and 13% spandex. It has a very soft and silky feel as well as a ribbed look and texture. The front is not contoured and I would describe it as being fairly flat. The logo is stitched to the front off to the side. There is a small care tag located inside the back of the thong tail. This thong was designed in Australia and made in China. It’s available in a wide range of sizes (XS to XXL) and comes in four different colors. I am quite fond of the crushed berry color.
What I love about this thong the most is the material. As I already mentioned, it has a very silky-soft feel with a subtle ribbed texture to it. I also quite like the shape and cut. While I wouldn’t mind a bit less frontal coverage, I think this thong has a very classy look to it and the shape of the tail is absolutely perfect. I also like that the care tag is small and unnoticeable while wearing this thong which spares me the agony of trying to neatly cut a tag off of an expensive piece of clothing without destroying it.
Personally, I wish the Eclipse Thong had a bit of contouring to it. I like that it can accommodate both the “upwards” and “downwards” pointing positions, but I feel like the lack of contouring in the front causes everything to get a bit smooshed together. That’s not to say this thong is by any means uncomfortable, I just can’t seem to find that perfect way to position it (underwear bliss) where you don’t even realize you’re wearing underwear.
If you prefer more of a flat front and like the traditional look of this thong then I would highly recommend the Eclipse Thong. For me personally, the flatness and lack of contouring in the front will keep it from being one of my absolute favorites. With that in mind I still love the aesthetic, material and color of this thong and I am quite happy to add it to my collection.

I prefer the flat front styles. There aren’t very many, this is one I’ll be looking at buying.
If you indeed prefer a more flat front then this is definitely the thong for you! Thanks for reading 🙂
Thank you for posting my review Nate!
I didn’t realise Teamm8 was Australian, I’ll definitely give this one a go, although I’m not a big fan of the flat front, preferring a bit of a pouch, but if they are soft and comfortable, I’ll give them a go.
